Brentwood has an annual Corn Fest in late summer where several downtown area streets and the city park are closed to traffic and a 2-day festival takes place with bands, booths, demonstrations of all sorts, etc. In addition to the customary vendors' booths, elements of the county's agricultural history are presented We brought Dan and Molly to be demonstration horses. Don Mello brought Molly on Saturday and we brought Dan on Sunday. The crowds got to watch Don Laughlin and Danny Love forge draft horse shoes out of bar stock and perform a complete farriery job (and we got a free set of shoes out of the deal!) |
