Lisa Wood, after a few lessons on Mikey (a classic Doc Bar quarter horse), wanted to test her skills in the local horse club spring show. Riding
in English classes among the Arabians and Thoroughbreds, she held her own quite well, placing in every class and taking a first in her only open class
(a fairly large class) on stubby little Mikey. The lesson here is that with a fair judge, it's not so much that you have the right breed, but that
you have the right stuff. Lisa worked hard on her riding skills and it showed.
Lisa has since moved away and we hope she is continuing to enjoy the equestrian experience. |
