Nina Vlanin (Froggy) and Prints

We met "Froggy" in 1997 in the Acme Pet Horse Chat Room. As it turns out, Nina lived in nearby San Fransico. So, one day we made arrangements to meet her at the transit station and she hopped a train over to our county.

Nina worked as a young girl at the State Equestrian Center in Leningrad, Soviet Union. The state owned all the horses and only the privileged were allowed into the program. Nina would get to cool them out and many of these horses went on to compete internationally and in the Olympics. Later, when her family immigrated to the US, she got away from horses and pursued photographic art, among other things.

Nina seemed to enjoy getting back onto the horses and we expect to see her around the ranch again!
