"Tess"

Tess is a 1984 model Lippett bred Morgan mare who is as quick as can be! She'd rather run than walk anywhere, including when she's at liberty grazing. (Why walk when you can run?) In addition, she has a natural Morgan flat-walk gait that will pull away from almost any horse that's hard trotting, but she's as smooth as glass.

You walk up to Tess' stall and she'll extend a snakey neck out at you with her ears pinned back. If you didn't look at the expression in her eye, you'd swear she's coming out for a bite... but scratch under those laid back ears and she'll flex and grunt and be your buddy for sure.

She loves to eat and has a pallette for carrots, apples, pears, bananas and even grapes! And it must be known that food... any food... is automatically hers (although she's been inviting Mikey over for a snack now and then... and the other horses are starting to talk!)

Tess is a shameless flirt with the geldings, and can display quite a temper when they're out grazing and she's still in her paddock. She can also pout... for days... when sharply reprimanded for some sassy infraction.
