Sharon always wanted a big riding donk. She found out about one in New Mexico
from Camilla Maluotoga that operates a donkey rescue. The seller agreed to split the distance
so Willis drove to Flagstaff, AZ (741 miles) to pick up Zip.
Zip was quiet the first day at the ranch, but once he got his bearings he immediately made himself at home and was all donk. |

Hi, Mom!
|
We needed something to ride Zip in. Our Ortho-Flex saddles fit him fine but headgear was an issue. We decided to go with a "Bitless Bridle."

What a big head to fit!

Now it was time to get on up! Zip was difficult to ride in the arena because he didn't see any purpose in it and as anyone with a donk will tell you, they just don't do what doesn't make sense to them. So we resolved this issue by riding out around the ranch with saddle horses so he had some purpose to his journey.
All saddled up and nowhere to go!
