"Black Beauty (AKA Beauty)"

Julie bringing Beauty down the stairs

Beauty was adopted along with Snert at Wild Horse Workshop '98 in Antioch, CA. Both yearlings went through the week's gentling in the workshop.

Their original adopters kept them pretty much as pets. Both horses were quite tame and could be trimmed and vetted although they received no formal training after the workshop. Before the end of their year of care and maintenance, the original adopters had to move and could not take the horses. Julie Barraque applied to take over the adoptions, keeping the pair together and moving them to Nevada.

Beauty has a real sweet, kind disposition. She is pretty quiet but can get stirred up into action when playing with Snert. She has her own thoughts about things but it doesn't take a great deal of effort to encourage her to go the way her handler wishes.

Based on her bone structure and legginess, we expect her to mature to a fairly good size.
