"Blue Boy"

Blue Boy

Jim writes:

"Blue Boy the colt obeys some commands and though not riding, is under saddle. I pony him any time I take my 15 yr old thrghbrd/QH mare out for a ride. He's more like a pet. When I'm working out around the stables or out in the pasture he has to be right in the middle of everything.

"We picked him out at Burns on May 22, 1998 and he was right around 1 year old. He was captured in Grant County, Seneca, Oregon in the Murderers Creek area; approximately 4 months old at that time which was Sept. 19, 1997.

"One other thing I want to say is that if gentling a mustang is all that is keeping people from adopting, then they can look at it like working on a car or doing a model, or putting something together they bought at the store. Just read the directions. I don't have any horse handling experience and the only riding I've done is from stables.

"My wife and I have always wanted horses so we just dove in. The book named Lyons On Horses, written by John Lyons with Sinclair Browning is precise and easy to follow. I've used it for everything I've done and I checked it out of the library."
