Mustang Close-Up

"Celis White"

Maryanne wanted a BLM "Mustang" since she was young. She adopted Celis at the local adoption held in Tucson in the fall of 1995. Like many new adoptees, Celis was pretty wary of humans, but before too long she would tolerate Maryanne near her and even touching her as she ate.

Celis literally had to "learn the ropes;" how to be haltered, led, handled, get shots and hoof trims. Maryanne and her husband John were patient and she proceeded quietly and nicely.

Eventually Celis was handling the usual "domestic horse" routine.

As repayment, Celis presented Maryanne and John with "Austin Gray."
