Commanche was captured captured September, 1998, in Nevada and adopted in January, 2000. He was gentled in the Canon City, Colorado, prison training program where he was well started with leading and haltering. A month later he took his first saddling well but sulked in his stall until that thing was removed from his back! (Photo above.)
