"Metawa Wacipi Wi"
(AKA "Metawa")

Metawa, short for his Lakota indian name Metawa Wacipi Wi (or Moon Dancer Mine in English), is a blue roan and a real chameleon at that. He stands 14 hands and is very gentle. He loves people, especially children. He's mischievious, a real clown.

Metawa is triple registered through: AMBA , AIHR (Hall of Fame#123) also (Counting Coup Award for pleasure trail miles ), and NAMAR.

Some of Metawa's other accomplishments include: pleasure, back country trails, speed events, parades (including pet parades carrying a 3 year old one year and two 4 year old girls the next year), grade school show n' tell (5 times), hunting and packing big game, playing teter-totter on a flatbed trailer, opening unlocked gates (literally padlocked gates is so far the only kind he hasn't opened!) He's also my mount for riding with the BCH (Back Country Horsemen). He has won numorous ribbons in 2 local horse clubs as well as high points and 3 trophies, 2 plaques, and 3 medals. He also holds 2 awards through the AIHR. He's been a newsrelease story for the BLM, (July, 2001. "Lover of horses...). He was also shown in the AMBA newsletter back in 1997.

(Some of my neighbors had called him nothing more than a range rat, I decided to prove them wrong!)
