MC (AKA "Munchkin")

MC as a 5 year old

Jackie Floyd reports:

MC (AKA Munchkin) came to us as a 3-year-old from a horse camp my daughter attended for 5 years. They adopted 3 yearlings every year for the kids to work with. MC was captured as a yearling and had two years of gentling by the kids at camp before we purchased her. As you can see by the before and after pictures, she's changed a lot in the 2½ years we've owned her.

This year we completed our first Limited Distance 25-mile ride at the Fireworks 25 in the Santa Cruz Redwood forests. She shows great promise as a long-distance horse and we hope to move up to 50-mile rides next year. MC is Intelligent, strong-willed, has a lot of stamina and is a strider, making her fast trot an easy one to sit.

MC is quite fearless of loud diesel engines running water pumps but she definitely does not like white painted X's on the road!
