"Odessa"

Odessa

Odessa was adopted in May, 1997 at the Burns Wild Horse Corrals in Oregon. Odessa came from the Warm Springs HMA, which is located in southeastern Oregon. She is 4 years old, stands about 15.3 hh, and weighs about 1200 lbs.

Farris writes:

"Odessa is the black horse that our daughter wanted, except she isn't the Black Stallion. This horse was very quick to gentle and was out to pasture before the end of two weeks. She is a really nice horse with really above average conformation and willing attitude.

"She was the better of two black fillies in a pen of 2 year-olds. This was an exceptional pen of young horses, but Odessa just seemed to stand out and we were lucky to have early selection."

Odessa has filled out and develped a partnership with another mare, Jessie, and together they pretty much rule the roost, except for the one gelding that is herd boss.

We hope to get more updates and photos of Odessa as she progresses.

Guess which one's Odessa?
