Mustang Close-Up

"Ranger"

Ranger is the fourth mustang adopted by the US Army. He was acquired in the early spring of 1999.

Once he is gentled and started under saddle, Ranger will be trained to be a part of the fort's ceremonial unit and will be used in historic demonstrations and battle reenactments.

Ranger is a quick learner and was under saddle with less than 5 hours total work once his training began.

We will present more photos and progress reports of Ranger as he proceeds through his training.
