"Shoshoni is awesome. She rides with a
hackamore (gentle one). She has a presence about her that is instantly
noticeable. Nothing disturbs her...she is always keenly aware of what is
going on around her but won't even turn around to look...she maintains
her presence. She is an excellent mama to her babies and humans. She
can be shod without halter or lead. You don't 'do' anything to
Shoshoni. You ask. She cooperates. I have seen her upset (due to human
stupidity) and she is capable of having things her way...she can break
leather and nylon halters...she chooses not too. Many children have
ridden her. She does not buck or kick although she knows that she can.
She is a find example of horse and human cooperating. Her nick-name is,
'Mama'."
