As you can see, the Woodards came into some pretty good horses through the adoption process. These "western natives" seem to be doing quite well up in the Great Smokey Mountains in North Carolina.
Here is Steel and Curtis Woodard learning to "Spook in
Place". He was allowed to be afraid but not allowed to flee. Steel did very well
in this portion of his training.
Jill Whitt reports: "Steele decided that the umbrella could be carried in his mouth. When he picked it up, it of course made some
noise and flipped toward him. He didn't know what to do next, but yell
for HELP! It had him and he didn't know how to turn it loose. It was
really funny to see. What a wimp. He is not afraid of this thing
anymore."
