Kathy Downey reports:
"I adopted Trouble at the BLM Adoption on May 15, 1999 in
Belle Fourche SD. We could not decide on a name on the way home from the
adoption so we thought of how much Trouble this could possibly be so hence
the name. After getting him home we found him to be extremely intelligent,
very cowy, kind and loves people.
"He gentled down very quickly and we were able to turn him out in the
pasture with the other horses after only 2 short weeks of working with him.
We started saddling him after only 3 months. He walks over tarps, loads in
the horse trailer and does all of his round pen work perfectly. He is
always trying to please us."
"My husband team ropes and I run barrels. So when we are in the arena
roping we noticed Trouble always coming over to the arena to watch so we
thought we would let him in and see what he would do. Evidently all those
hours he has spent watching us has paid off because he knows exactly what
to do as you can see in these pictures. Now we let him in with his saddle
on so he can chase the steers around and practice for when he is old enough
for us to start riding him."
