BLM EASTERN STATES ACCEPTING PROPOSALS
FOR ASSISTANCE AT WHB ADOPTION EVENTS

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is currently soliciting for contract
proposals to provide assistance to BLM during Wild Horse & Burro adoption events
in the Eastern United States. The solicitation was issued on 5-11-00 and closes
on 7-12-00. If any firm or individuals are interested in offering a proposal
that may result in a contract, please contact, no later than 6-09-00, either
LaVonna Hughes at (303) 236-9440 or Joseph Bogus at (303) 236-9436 for a copy of

Depending on the particular adoption event, there are two differing types of
assistance being solicited. for:
- Contractor sets up and dismantles equipment (panels, haltering chute,
approach chute, etc), feeds, and waters animals. Or,
- Contractor sets up and dismantles equipment (panels, haltering chute,
approach chute, etc.), unloads, feeds, waters, sorts, removes neck tags,
halters when requested by adopter, and loads animals.
This is not a BLM operated or BLM sponsored site. It
is run by private wild horse and burro enthusiasts.
