Donny and Maggie
Don and Donny Mello picked up Maggie at the Turlock Draft Horse Sale as a yearling. (They were bidding against a "meat packer.")

Maggie was half Belgian and by the age of 2 it was pretty clear that she was going to be a decent saddle horse.

Already having plenty of horses of their own, they decided to sell the green-broke Maggie to a good home. The first person who looked at her bought her and she now lives about a mile farther up the road.
