KBR Horse Net Mustang Close-Up
"Mirage"
Tom and Gwilda are first time horse owners. They learned about the BLM wild horse program while on assignment in Las Vegas. With the assistance of BLM volunteers, they built an appropriate facility on their 10 acre plot and picked up their first two of five mustangs in February, 1995 at a Florida sale.
Settling in shortly after arriving; Mirage and Gwilda
Mirage was fast to gentle, but very spunky. The Byrds noted that they received much helpful assistance from local BLM volunteers.

They also recruited Bill Ross, an area racehorse trainer, to get the mares started. (Bill, by the way, is 76 years old!)
