Mustang Close-Up"Oreo"OreoLesley reports: Most people will think I am nuts, but just I sold Oreo to an 8 year old girl. I love to see these horses go on to nice people and they really enjoy them. I adopted Oreo and her mom June 1996. Her mom was very club footed and "foundered?" Both were extremely small. "Mama" (the dam's name) had Oreo in February, when she was barely 2 herself. She was gathered from the Lava Beds in North-Western Nevada, and she was starving to death when they gathered her. Anyway, I believe the club foot part was because she was starving and mother nature takes from within to make that baby, so I think her feet went bad from her emaciated condition. Well, Mama was a beautiful and very loving solid black mare and OREO came out of her so brightly colored. She turned out to be one of the most loving mares. Her feet were almost cleared up - perfectly straight and she was NEVER lame, even with them being all crooked at first. Oreo is going on to being ridden English and then will be bred to a Gorgeous black and white warmblood. I know the lady very well, and she is going to school Oreo and the little girl together. (she has done dressage and competed heavily for the last 20 years that I have known her.) Vital StatisticsFoaled: 96 / FillyHerd: Born in captivity
