Sheryl writes:
"Adopting and working with Sunny has been one of the highlights of my life.
I hadn't had a horse in 20 years, but this once-wild horse and I have
formed a lasting partnership. She is willing and curious, and we do a
variety of activities from parades and horse shows, to training clinics, to
riding on the beach and in the mountains. We are both always ready to
learn more, and look forward to each new experience.
Have you ever cuddled with your horse? I mean, you and your horse laying
on the ground, drowsing in the sunshine, her muzzle resting in your lap? I
have, and I tell you, it is a awesome experience to feel that much trust
from a formerly wild creature.
Mustangs form very deep bonds with each other within the herd - they
instinctively know that those bonds are their key to survival. And I have
seen, time and again, that same level of bonding shared between mustang and
human. We become their herd, and they trust us, rely on us, take care of
us, and yes, they love us."
