"Quincy"
Page 2

Quincy went through a difficult foaling. He was a little weak and his hind legs, although they were huge, didn't have good suspension. The Byrds had to wait an extra day to transport the pair home and little Quincy required a bit of nursing, including daily antibiotic injections. With TLC, Quincy turned the corner on his problems and grew up healthy.

Quincy and the Shoer

Quincy was a really friendly and workable colt. Tom and Gwilda, who had never owned horses before adopting mustangs "America" and "Mirage" the previous year, handled Quincy a great deal and prepared him well for domestic life.

Quincy's First Birthday

Gwilda reports: "Quincy loved his hat and the birthday banner. He chewed it up after everyone left!
